Artist Teresa Baksa photographed with her stunning, vibrant earth angel.
With excited anticipation, I explored the many works of gifted artists at the Miller White Fine Arts Gallery's opening reception last evening. A tour of open spaces emanating multi canvases which draw you in, to carefully observe and ponder. With turns to navigate round, the next pieces of artistic wonder wait to be viewed. And if you were lucky enough to meet the artist in person, then chances are you heard their inspirational story that synchronistically paved the way to that which you were viewing.
Thanks to artists Teresa Baksa, goldsmith Michael Baksa, Salvatore Del Deo, bronze sculptor Romolo Del Deo, John Ciro, James Wolf, Ulla Neigenfind, William Allen, Howard Barnes, Joseph Diggs, Jane Eccles, Laura Fantini, Deborah Forman, Raquel Fornasaro, Milisa Galazzi, Anne Garton, Jon Goldman, Jill Hedrick, Grace Hopkins, Sarah Lutz, Joanne Mattera, Wayne Miller, Richard Neal, Cecilla Rossey, Peter Roux, Jackie deRuyter, Kathleen Sidwell, Alan Soffer, Libie Soffer, Dan Wheldon and Curator Susan Danton.

I stole away on a brilliant, confetti speckled colored fall afternoon and into the Cape Cod Museum of Art to catch the Salvatore Del Deo exhibit. Unprepared for this master's work, I was immediately taken in and awe struck. Blown away by the magnitude of powerful energy emanating and felt. It made me pause. Time stood still, as I began to absorb what surrounded and engulfed me.
The exhibit is aptly named "A Storied History" reflecting just that. While words escape me, the wonders of life expressed began to unravel, each piece unique, brought questions to mind, to ponder of a person's rich and traveled life. Lived with passion, intelligence, thoughtful contemplation, respect, a study, dedication of what once was.
Standing solo in the exhibit room, I had this all to myself, without interference of crowds and chatter. Del Deo's master pieces of work took me in. I was given a glimpse into a man's heart and soul.
A gift was given and revealed on this afternoon, that was my take away. Once, ever so briefly, I had the good and unexpected fortune to meet with Salvatore Del Deo in a different kind of art environment, the theatre hall. The play had ended. Salvatore shook my hand and quietly stood aside, as his wife Josephine graciously and softly spoke, congratulating me on my performance. I was struck by genuine kindness of heart.
A "Storied History" spoke to the depths of my inner being, resonating fully of life's complexities, layers well lived, loved and shared!
Thanks to the Berta Walker Gallery for loan of art work.
I especially love the sound of the tide coming in, complete with the distant bark of a playful canine friend!
Well, a big congrats to Phoebe for acing her extensive exam which put her through her paces! She even listened obeying my request of "leave it" when tempted by treats fallen on the floor before her. I couldn't be prouder, and more pleased! Looking forward to sprinkling Phoebe good cheer at rehab centers and especially having children read to her at the elementary schools!
Thanks to Heather Garre of Tail Waggin Dogs Training who whipped us into shape via her pre-requisite class "Canine Good Citizen" by The American Kennel Club. We look forward to having some rewarding fun, giving back to a community we love!
One of my favorite spots in Dennis... 101 Corporation Road & Corporation beach is right around the bend!
Park the car, unpack your bags & ease into days of summer from this classic, quintessential Cape style home in Dennis, located on a sought after street that leads straight to Corporation beach. Swim mornings from the best crescent shaped beach on the Cape, spend idle hours with a good summer read, build sand castles, count hermit crabs, pick through shells & sea glass, while rhythmic sounds of waves meeting shoreline lull all concerns away. A haven, a place for alfresco dining from beneath a shade sail & watching a setting sun. Walk - bike for a gelato or a scoop of home made ice cream, take in a movie at the cinema, or a play at the infamous Cape Play house, tour the museum, & local gallery's or just hop over for a gourmet meal on 6-A. Ah, the choices & conveniences are endless, all from your very own Cape destination!
One of my favorite places happens to be on the real estate market, and down one of the most sought after roads in South Dennis. Imagine unpacking your bags, and staying awhile, spending lazy days of summer exploring Wilbur's cove by boat or adventuring out to Nantucket Sound. You'll have tales to tell of a perfect Cape Cod day. A coast line loaded with shellfish, and from this spot, preserved conservation land as far as the eye can see. A breath taking destination. A stunning and spectacular renovated home will 'wow' you, with water views from every room and tranquil, inviting spaces to relax within. You'll never want to leave.

Everything from self service bubble baths for your canine friend, or book an appointment to have Fido professionally pampered & groomed, and be sure to check out the canine boutique! Oooh la la, so many choices from hand knitted jewel tone winter sweaters, to reversible jackets, matching collars & leashes, stuffed toys, shampoos, edible cookies made in America and more paraphernalia to delight & laugh over.
We were immediately greeted with a caring welcome by Ashley, shown here with Phoebe! Ashely enthusiastically guided us through the boutique, and offered a selection of natural scented shampoos with a coconut base (no sulphates here) to sniff & pick for the self service bathing offered, which was the reason we were there! Choices of: Cucumber Pomegranate, Lavender, or Honey Suckle made the choosing challenging... Honey Suckle with a subtle fresh & clean sweetness won out in the end.
But before the bath, we had a little perusing to do first! Click on the slide show & come take a tour with us!
Hot Diggity boutique is all about service, yes service! Refreshingly so! My first time in - a newby at this, I was given complete & easy instruction from Ashely on how to use the sprayer wash & rinse, given my Honey Suckle shampoo, along with a brush to de-shed fluffy Phoebe a bit before bath, & a rubber apron which read: 'Dog Lover' of course! Set at your bathing station (there are a few stations) is a tub filled with neatly rolled white towels for drying, & a power jet - cool air- dryer for drying, you're informed that they are noisy, so there aren't any surprises! The water temp is even preset! How perfect is that? They offer 10 baths & the 11th one is free. Sweet... this is pooch haven with out a doubt!
